Training “Best practices of digitalization in the EU” within the framework of the Erasmus+ project (08.05.2024, online)

On May 8, 2024 the Faculty of Economics of Zaporizhzhia National University held a training on “Best Practices of Digitalization in the EU”. The event was held within the framework of the project of the European Union Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Program 101085727 – EU-DIGITIZATION – ERASMUS-JMO-2022-HEI-TCH-RSCH “Digitalization of the economy in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic as a strategic platform for economic development of the state”.

More than 100 participants from different universities/cities of Ukraine joined the event: State University “Zhytomyr Polytechnic” (Zhytomyr); Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration (Zaporizhzhia); Zaporizhzhia Regional Council (Zaporizhzhia); Lithuanian University of Sport (Lithuania); National Aviation University (Kyiv); National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine (Kyiv); National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine (Kyiv). National University “Lviv Polytechnic” (Lviv); PJSC “Zaporizhstal” (Zaporizhzhia); Ternopil National Technical University named after Ivan Puluj (Ternopil); University of Economics (Varna); Khmelnytsky National University (Khmelnytsky).

During the event, presentations were made by: M. YEVTUSHENKO, Deputy Director of the Department of Finance, Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration; M. PIRKH, payment product manager, Wix.com; D. GUDKOV, technical artist; A. GUDKOVA, psychologist; D. SVITLIY, financial director, Onyx-Soft PE (PhD in Economics); S. KURKULA, specialist in the development and implementation of information systems, Business Soft LLC; K. BRUTIAN, Director of the Center for Interactive Development (Kryvyi Rih), Director of the Center for Interactive Development “ARISTOCRAT” (Kryvyi Rih) (PhD in Economics, Associate Professor); FOMENKO V., Web Design Specialist; LOSEEVA E., Trade Unionist of the Faculty of Economics of Zaporizhzhia National University, student of the program “Human Resources Management and Labor Economics”; BUGAI O., Head of Sales, IT “Natife LLC”.

Svitlana SHYTIKOVA, Coordinator of the National Erasmus+ Office – Ukraine in her speech, pointed out that 2400 projects are currently being implemented in Ukraine. The speaker also highlighted the challenges and opportunities of projects under the EU Erasmus+ Programme and provided information on the areas of calls for project applications and the peculiarities of project implementation during martial law in Ukraine.

Speakers focused on such topical issues as: the use of open information and analytical systems to analyze local budget indicators; payment Product Manager: balancing between user needs and business requests; creating games on Unreal Engine 5; accounting automation practices in the EU and Ukraine; the use of information systems for accounting at enterprises in the EU and Ukraine; the importance of financial literacy for the development of preschool children; digital technologies in graphic design and the feasibility of their use in the socio-economic sphere; e-commerce.

During the event, participants learned about the European experience of using digital technologies in the economy in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic and learned about the possibilities of adopting and using the best practices of digitalization in the EU.

EU Erasmus+ project “Digitalization of the economy in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic as a strategic platform for the development of the state’s economy” 101085727 – EU-DIGITIZATION – ERASMUS-JMO-2022-HEI-TCH-RSCH.

Project objective: Formation of digital competence in higher education students of Zaporizhzhia National University and business representatives by introducing European experience in digitalizing the economy and teaching them the features of using digital technologies in professional activities (work), everyday life, at Ukrainian enterprises, which will contribute to the strategic development of the economy of the region, region and state in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Project objectives: Summarizing and systematizing existing approaches to the digitalization of the economy, researching European experience and developing a course based on the research; disseminating European experience in the use of digital technologies through training for higher education students, business representatives, and teaching staff.
